How China is changing Hollywood

China has been able to impose its conditions on American film companies after the agreement in 2012 to determine the number of American films allowed in China with 20 more films, to 34 films in 2017, in addition to promoting films with Sino-US joint investment, giving it more opportunity to enter China.

These conditions were enough to bring Hollywood into line with the Chinese government’s intent to impose its national image and impose its culture and messages on American and global society through the Hollywood portal. Either voluntarily or through film partnerships with Chinese companies.
